Kathmandu, Date: Bhadra 13, 2083 BS. Considering the tragic situation caused by the disaster in the country, Madi Chitwan-Kathmandu Contact Society canceled its pre-scheduled Teej program and organized a relief assistance and blood donation program for disaster-affected, injured, and sick individuals.
In the program held on Saturday at the organization's office in Namaste A To Z Complex, Shantinagar Gate, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, Shankar Pandey 'Mukti', President of the organization, inaugurated the event by donating blood himself. Around 110 people participated in the event. A QR code for the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund was also made available for voluntary donations, and participants deposited assistance funds directly into the government account via the QR code. The organizers stated that 30 pints of blood were collected during the event.
Providing details about the event, President Pandey stated that during such a tragic time of disaster in the country, the Teej festival celebration was canceled to dedicate efforts to humanitarian service with the spirit of "Unity in Disaster, Serving Bhotekoshi Flood Victims is Our Commitment" by organizing the relief and blood donation program.

The program was organized by Madi Chitwan-Kathmandu Contact Society and co-organized by World Blood Donors Organization Nepal. Nepal Red Cross Society, Lalitpur Blood Transfusion Service provided technical support for the program. The society stated that despite being organized on short notice, the event was successfully completed due to the active involvement of the advisory committee and executive committee.
Madi Chitwan-Kathmandu Contact Society expressed its heartfelt gratitude and thanks to all blood donors, supporting individuals and organizations, volunteers, technical teams, media personnel, and everyone who directly or indirectly contributed to making the program successful.
Organizers noted that the event, completed with the message "Donate Blood, Save Lives," further strengthened the spirit of social unity, mutual support, and humanitarian service during times of disaster.
