Law enforcement authorities in Kathmandu have apprehended popular actor Sagar Lamsal, widely known by his screen name ‘Bale,’ on charges of sexual assault. According to police sources, the arrest was executed in the Budhanilkantha area on Friday following a serious allegation leveled against him.
The legal action stems from a complaint filed by a young woman currently residing in the United States. She accused Lamsal of committing the assault during his time in America. The formal accusation was brought to light just this Friday, prompting immediate police intervention.
Lamsal is presently being held for preliminary interrogation as part of the ongoing investigation. Officials stated that the custody is necessary to verify the details provided by the complainant and to establish the legal grounds for further proceedings.
