The Rastriya Swatantra Party has taken a major disciplinary step by canceling the general membership of its Bara district chief, Chandan Swarnakar. This decisive move has triggered strong resistance from the penalized official, who views the development as a targeted conspiracy against his career.

Central Organizing Department Secretary Shankar Shrestha officially transmitted the termination order to Swarnakar. The structural fallout of this decision is already underway, as the central leadership has dissolved the entire Bara district committee and dispatched representatives to establish a transitional leadership structure.

The internal investigation gained momentum following formal complaints lodged with the party’s disciplinary commission by four elected lawmakers from Bara. These parliamentarians accused Swarnakar of severe misconduct, including financial mismanagement, failing to mobilize the local organizational network, and actively supporting rival political candidates during elections.

In response to his sudden removal, Swarnakar published the official expulsion letter on social media, labeling the entire process an unfair attack on his leadership. He asserted that the central leadership completely ignored factual evidence and bypassed an impartial inquiry to eliminate his position right before the upcoming district convention scheduled for May 22.

Swarnakar claimed that the elected lawmakers pressured the central committee because they feared his potential reelection by local party cadres during the upcoming district gathering. He emphasized that while his name could easily be erased from the official documents of the organization, his connection with the local population of Mahagadhimai and Bara remains untouched.

Looking forward, the ousted leader declared that his political involvement would not end with his departure from the organization. He expressed readiness to operate as an independent political figure, relying on the support of local citizens to continue his public service outside the banner of his former party.
