Taiwan Is an Inseparable Part of China: Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that the 70th anniversary of Nepal–China diplomatic relations has been successfully concluded. Both countries marked the milestone last year, in 2025, by organizing a series of events to commemorate seven decades of diplomatic ties.

In a statement issued today, the Ministry noted that the close bilateral relationship between the two countries is grounded in the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, long-standing friendship, and mutual respect for each other’s sensitivities.

Reiterating Nepal’s full support for the One-China principle, the Ministry emphasized that Taiwan is an inseparable part of China. Similarly, the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu had organized a special program in the capital on Poush 12, marking the successful completion of the 70th anniversary celebrations.

In the meantime, the Nepal–China Media Forum has published a book of approximately 350 pages highlighting various dimensions of bilateral relations. With the support of the Embassy, Chinese language training programs have also been conducted for Nepali tourism entrepreneurs and media professionals.

Two weeks ago, the Fourth Nepal–China Communication Conference was also successfully held. Additionally, with the objective of promoting cultural and creative products of the Himalayan region, exhibitions on “World Intangible Cultural Heritage” and the Xizang Cultural Week were organized.

Over the past year, a range of cultural exhibitions, sports events, diplomatic receptions, and other participatory programs were conducted as part of the anniversary celebrations.
