The Nepal-manufactured Sipradi Yatri P-2 electric scooter has been officially launched in Kathmandu. Developed locally, the company introduced the new vehicle across three distinct variants to expand its presence in the domestic electric vehicle market.
The top-tier variant of the P-2 is equipped with a 5.2 kWh capacity battery, which the company claims offers a driving range of up to 207 kilometers on a single charge. Meanwhile, the mid variant features a 3.2 kWh battery delivering a range of 162 kilometers, and the low variant comes with a 3.0 kWh battery providing a range of 140 kilometers.

All variants of the scooter feature a maximum speed of 90 kilometers per hour. For charging, a 1,350-watt charger takes approximately 2.5 hours to charge the battery from 0 to 80 percent, while a 3,300-watt DC fast charger can charge it from 20 to 80 percent in 41 minutes.
To support users across the country, charging stations have been made available in 35 cities throughout Nepal. Through the locally built P-2 model, Yatri aims to strengthen its portfolio in the electric vehicle market by providing options for higher range, fast charging, and multiple battery capacities.
