The National Independent Party (RSP) is taking a major step toward structural transformation during its ongoing inaugural national convention in Bharatpur, Chitwan. According to party General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti, the highly anticipated closed session is scheduled to officially commence on Tuesday at 2:00 PM.

The gathering serves as a critical turning point for the political organization, focusing heavily on evaluating internal progress and initiating the process for electing its new leadership.

The groundwork for the session began early in the morning, with the representative management subcommittee overseeing delegate registrations from 10:00 AM onwards. Following a scheduled lunch break at 11:45 AM, Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane will formally inaugurate the closed-door discussions.

Strategic assessments will dominate the early hours of the session. Internal watchdogs and financial overseers will present their findings first, with Ramakant Rimal delivering the disciplinary commission’s report, followed immediately by Treasurer Lima Adhikari’s presentation on the party’s financial health.

Organizational expansion and structural changes are also high on the agenda. General Secretary Burlakoti will outline the party's structural expansion in his organizational report. Later in the afternoon, Joint General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya will present the proposed constitutional amendments recently cleared by the central committee for formal ratification.

The ideological and political roadmap of the party will take center stage by late afternoon. Vice Chairman Dr. Swarnim Wagle is slated to propose the socio-economic framework, while Chairman Lamichhane will lay down the core political manifesto. Dedicated deliberation on the chairman's vision will run until 6:35 PM.

The session will conclude with a crucial transition of authority. Chairman Lamichhane will announce the formation of an interim management committee, after which the organizing team will formally hand over all electoral responsibilities to the Election Commission.

Moving forward, the independent electoral body will publicize the official election guidelines and timeframe, paving the way for the democratic selection of the party's upcoming leadership core.
