The Cabinet meeting held today at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Nepal approved several key government decisions, including cash prizes for Asian Games medalists and authorization for a major financial agreement with the World Bank.
Under the decisions, the government will award cash prizes to players, coaches, and managers of the women's kabaddi and karate teams who secured medals at the 20th Asian Games held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
Furthermore, the Cabinet granted formal approval to sign the Mandate Agreement with the World Bank concerning the Nepal Earthquake Catastrophe Bond.
In additional administrative decisions, the government approved the Committee Formation Order, 2083, concerning the registration of land in the names of individuals who have been residing on Bitauri land. Additionally, Joint Attorney Achyut Mani Neupane of the Nepal Judicial Service, Government Group, was promoted to gazetted special class and posted as Secretary of the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons.
These decisions mark formal progress in institutional governance, administrative appointments, disaster risk financing arrangements, and state recognition for sports achievements.
