The foundation stone for the new building of Shree Jan Adarsha Secondary School was jointly laid today at Shivasatakshi Municipality-6 in Jhapa district of Koshi Province. Koshi Province Assembly Member Honorable Radhakrishna Khanal, Shivasatakshi Municipality Mayor Megahang Thopra, and Second Secretary at the Embassy of India in Kathmandu Garima Nautiyal jointly initiated the construction project during an official ceremony.

The construction of the school building is being undertaken with the financial assistance of the Government of India at an estimated cost of approximately NPR 30 million. This initiative is being executed as a High Impact Community Development Project and will be implemented directly through the Shivasatakshi Municipality.

During the ceremony, the Mayor of Shivasatakshi Municipality along with other key stakeholders expressed appreciation for the development assistance continuously provided by the Government of India. They expressed confidence that the new infrastructure would significantly help strengthen the learning environment for both students and teachers within the municipality.

India and Nepal share a comprehensive and multi-sectoral cooperation as close neighboring nations. The implementation of this High Impact Community Development Project reflects the continuous support of the Government of India in developing infrastructure in priority sectors and reinforcing the efforts of the Government of Nepal to advance national development and prosperity.
