Healthcare infrastructure in Manang’s remote Naso Rural Municipality has received a boost with the launch of a new hospital building project supported by the Government of India.

The foundation stone for the facility, located in Ward No. 5 of Naso Rural Municipality, was jointly laid by Dr. Rakesh Pandey, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, and Naso Rural Municipality Chairperson Dharm Bahadur Gurung.

The project is being developed under India’s High Impact Community Development Programme with financial assistance of approximately NPR 5.6 crore. It will be implemented through the local rural municipality.

Local representatives expressed appreciation for India’s continued development support, noting that the new infrastructure is expected to improve access to basic healthcare services in the area.

The initiative reflects ongoing cooperation between Nepal and India in community-level development projects, with a focus on strengthening essential public services in priority regions.
