Kathmandu. Reports of preparations to arrest former Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (UML), KP Sharma Oli, have stirred significant heat within political circles and across social media. According to sources, it is understood that arrangements are being made to take him into custody as early as tonight.

In this context, former Secretary Bhim Upadhyay shared a significant comment on social media. Hinting at the previous nighttime arrest of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, he raised a pointed question. Upadhyay wrote, "If RSP Chairman Rabi can be arrested at night, can’t UML Chairman Oli be arrested during the day?" This statement has added momentum to the ongoing discussions regarding Oli’s potential arrest.

To obtain official confirmation on this matter, multiple attempts were made to contact Nepal Police Central Spokesperson Abi Narayan Kaphle via telephone, but he did not answer. So far, no official information or denial has been issued by the high-level leadership of the police.

Amidst the police's silence and meaningful comments from leaders, widespread rumors and speculations are flooding social media regarding the imminent arrest of Oli. Both the general public and political cadres are closely monitoring the potential political and security developments that may unfold tonight.
