Vice Chairman of the National Independent Party (RSP), Dol Prasad Aryal, has formally committed to a governance style rooted in legal adherence and judicial fairness if he is elected as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Following the formal registration of his candidacy at Singha Durbar on Friday, Aryal emphasized that his leadership would remain strictly within the boundaries defined by the Constitution of Nepal. He articulated a vision for the legislature that respects the fundamental principles of the separation of powers between the executive, judiciary, and legislative branches.
According to reports from the registration site, Aryal stated that his primary motivation for seeking the post is the protection of national sovereignty and the advancement of public welfare. He vowed to elevate the dignity of the parliament by ensuring all legislative actions are conducted with transparency and justice.
While the election process is currently underway, the RSP leader assured the public that his tenure would focus on making parliamentary proceedings more people-oriented. He noted that the responsibilities of the Speaker require a balanced approach to ensure the legislative body functions effectively for the benefit of all Nepalese citizens.
The final outcome of the election will determine how these commitments to transparency and constitutional integrity are implemented within the nation's highest legislative office.
